  1. I think that Crash is a really mean bully for example to Penn Webb because he has many different ways to do mean things. Calls him names and puts mustard in his shoes. I think that Crash is actually just jealous of Penn because Penn spends time with his family and does thing together and Crashes parents are always gone. Maybe thiis why he is so mean to him.

    1. I agree with you, because Crash is a really big bully, because of those things what you said. I think everybody noticed his bullies, except for Penn. I agree with you about why Crash is bullying Penn

    2. I agree with you, since Crash says mean things when his not around. Also, he bullies Penn because he thinks it's funny and every time Crash bullies him, Penn doesn't do anything. So, his confident about bulling him.

    3. I agree with you because he is very mean to penn and I think he also is jealous of penn.

    4. Thank you Beni,Sumin and Shreya for commenting on my post. I see that we are all agreeing that Crash is mean to Penn or Crash is being a bully.

  2. Crash is a bully, because he always bullies Penn, when he is happy. Crash is powerful over lots of people, because he is big, and strong. He is a pigheaded guy, because when Penn wants to be his friend, he just ignores him, and if he would go, I think he could be friends with Penn.

    1. I agree with you the part that Crash bullies Penn. It is true that Crash bullies Penn, as the way he makes fun of him, calling names, pock out a giant button out his shirt, squirting mustard on his shoe. But I disagree the part that Crash is a pigheaded guy, because it can't be that Crash is a pigheaded guy, just because he ignores him.

    2. I meant that Penn always asks him, and he says no every time, that is why he is pig headed.

  3. Crash:
I think Crash is rude to Penn. Because the way he calls him oat burger when his not around and he always tricks him. Crash tricks him by water guns and lie to him that his name Mergatroide and makes fun of him. Crash even pulls out the giant button off his shirt every time he sees it and makes fun of his button.

    1. I agree with you, because the reasons you said, and because Crash really became a really big bully, and he is doing ruder, and ruder things to Penn.
I wonder if he will stop, and when.

    2. I agree, but I think that Crash is more then rude I thik he is a really big bully. I think at the end Crash is going to do something really bad like a prank that went to far...

  4. Crash is mean and a bully because Penn Webb is always so happy he gets annoyed. I think you don't have to be so mean to someone who is always happy, because you can just say you don't like someone and I think Penn Webb will be okay with that. I think Crash is jealous of Penn Webb because he was talking to the girl he had a crush on

    1. I agree that Crash is mean and a bully at this time of the book. I think that later on Crash will see the good side of Penn. I also agree that Crash is jeolous of Penn because Jane is being kind and helpful to Penn.

    2. I agree with you that Crash is jealous of Penn, since Jane, the new girl that Crash likes, talks to Penn and even helps him to wash off the mustard off his shoes. So, I think Crash is bullies Penn more, after he realize that Jane is really nice to Penn and even helps him to wash his shoes.

  5. I think Crash is Confident, because he is able to boss Penn in any way he wants. He can also go against people who are older him who are tough. I also think he is Critical because he starts off with Penn in a werid way, but then he starts to bully him more later on. I wonder if he will ever be friends with Penn

    1. I agree with you, because even I think Crash is confident about bulling Penn. Since, Penn doesn't defend or tell an adult he trust when Crash bullies him. So, I think Crash thinks that he could bully him more and more, because Penn doesn't defend or tell an adult he trust.

    2. I agree too Rhea. He also is very confident because he always was confedent and mean.

    3. I think Crash is not that confident, because he is not confident talking to Jane and telling her that he is an idiot. Penn doesn't fight back because he is a Quaker. I think Crash will prank him a lot and then he gets tired of it.

      Delete
    4. Thank you Sumin that you agree that Crash is confiedent. I also agree that Penn does not do anything to help himself. Thank you Shreya that you agree that Crash is confiedent, and also agree that Crash is mean.

  6. Crash is bully because he actually doesn't like penn but he pretends to like him. He also is a bully because he keeps on taking penn's button off. He annoyed penn purposely. He puts mustard in Penn Webb's shoes and makes fun of his clothes.

    1. I agree that Crash is a bully. But I think that Crash was acting like his friend in first grade but then, in 5th or 6th grade, he stopped acting like his friend, but Penn must have not noticed. I agree that he annoys Penn purposly.

    2. I do agree that he was kind of acting like a friend in 1st grade.

I was fighting with my brother, and I was on him like cheese on Pizza, because he was annoying.

The other team's coach's voice sailed from the side of the pitch, because he wanted a player to come down.

My mother's eyes swung to me, because she wanted to face me while talking to me.

  16. Why did Jerry Spinelli write "Crash" ?

    - Because he wanted to write a book, where a loser becomes a star
-He wanted to write about a person's life
-He wanted to write a book, where is bullying, and friendship, besides to person.
-He wanted to write this book, because he wanted to teach the kids not to bully other, ' cause with them, they can get more friends.
-He wanted to write a book, where the best friendships change.
-He wanted to write a book, where a guy who has a really big enemy, and after sometime, they become friends.
-He wanted to write a book where are nerds, and cool guys.

  17. I think Jerry Spinelli wrote this book because he is trying to stop bullying. Jerry Spinelli maybe also wrote this, because Jerry Spinelli liked baseball, so he wrote about it. He may also wrote it, because he is trying to explain friendship and how friendship doesn't work. He was maybe also trying to write about bullies and how bad they are. And maybe also about the life of a quaker and a vegetarian

  18. I think that Jerry Spinelli wrote the book because of friendship, bullying and popularity.
Crash only cares about popularity and the popular kids. He doesn't bother to hang out with some nice kids who care more about people than popularity. So he tried to telll about being popular with friendship. Crash would bully Penn for the sake of it to have fun. The bullying was all about him being the football sensation.

    2. I agree with you that Jerry Spinelli wrote this book because it includes, bullying and friendship. But I don't think he only cares about popular kids, sine I don't think Jen who he cares a lot is a popular girl. But still, I like the way, that Jerry Spinelli wrote this book to teach a lesson to the readers. But not the lesson about being popular and friendship.

  19. I think Jerry Spinelli wrote this book because it includes obstacles, bullying, love friendship and jealous. First Crash meets this weird boy called Penn, and Crash starts to bully him. After few years, a boy named called Mike comes to his school and becomes Crash's best friend. Mike and Crash bullies Penn by pulling off the buttons and making fun of him in all sorts of way. Again, few years later, their is the girl called Jen that moves in to the school. Crash has a crush on Jen, and he get jealous whenever see Jen and Penn together, when Jen barley says anything to Crash. I think Jerry Spinelli wrote this book because it includes all sorts of obstacles, friendship, Love and bullying that usually happen in normal school life.

  20. I think that Jerry Spinelli wrote crash because maybe the people in the book were his classmates and he wanted to write about they're lives or maybe does his friends . I also think he wrote this book because maybe he wanted to just up his own story.

    1. I agree with you Shreya, because he does explain about the classmates through out the book. This was something I did not think about.

    2. Maybe it mite be true, that he wrote about his life when he was a student, but I can't find any clue that he wrote because of his memories when he was a student. I think he mainly wanted to teach a lesson through book about how to defend a bully.

  21. I think Jerry Spinneli worte this book because of friendship, bullying, and being popular. Friends because Crash has many friends and not that many enimies. One friend of his is Mike. But Penn thinks that Crash is still his friend. So in both ways. Bullying because I see Penn bullying him when he is with Jane, I also saw him bully him when Penn started talking about his friend. Being Popular because Crash thinks he is popular because he is a football star but not everybody likehim. Jane is one of the people who does not like him. But she said something nice to him when scooter had a stroke.
